The Story
How this challenge was approached and solved
Conducted user interviews with 20+ trial users to understand friction points. Identified that the original 7-step onboarding was overwhelming and lacked clear value demonstration. Redesigned into a progressive disclosure pattern with 3 core steps, added interactive product tours, and implemented contextual help. A/B tested the new flow against the original, resulting in 34% increase in trial-to-paid conversion and 60% reduction in support tickets related to onboarding.
